Day 5: Pursuing Possibilities in Oregon, one step at a time

This quote is a good reminder for me today. I’ve spent the past few days in the suburbs of Portland, driving to and from several towns hoping to find an area where I’d like to live.

Nothing feels right yet. It’s a bit discouraging sometimes, but I’ve just started this journey of pursuing possibilities.

I could sure use some patience with this process.

I went for a walk this evening and the green trees and flowers seemed to say, “Slow down. Nature has its own time & pace.”

To be honest, I’m a bit weary of exploring. Pursuing a dream to live in a new place is no vacation. It takes a lot of time & energy and tolerance of ups and downs along the way.

Tomorrow I’ll take a break and join some dear old friends for a backyard BBQ.

I’m very grateful for my friends who have been so supportive and helpful.

Dreams don’t happen alone. They happen together.
