I’m back at it again, drawing pictures for my children’s story. This time with a lovable, watchful dog by my side.

I’m surprised it feels easier to keep coming back to my illustrations with this dog around. It took a few days to adjust & develop a daily routine with her, but now our morning & evening routine is working well & it seems to have given me the structure I needed now that I have retired from teaching.

The dog starts my day with joy. Her stubby tail & golden body wag with delight to see me get up every morning. She brings me a breath of fresh morning air as I step outside with her so she can water the grass by my patio. It’s been a readjustment, but a very good one for both of us.

Now back to illustrating my story.

I said I would let you know my progress with a post each week. Well, I’m back at it.
